Following completion of his degrees, Arne H. Frandsen undertook extensive legal research in Europe, Japan and South Africa, leading to the publishing of a number of articles as well as a book. Once his research was successfully completed, He moved to London to start a professional career as an investment banker. He has over ten years of investment banking experience with Goldman Sachs and JPMorganChase, providing strategic advice and structuring mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate finance transactions for clients in 30 different countries, raising in excess of US$20 billion of capital.
From 2004, Mr Frandsen acted as client executive for JPMorganChase in South Africa, followed by a year as chief executive officer of Incwala Resources (Proprietary) Limited, one of South Africa’s leading Black Economic Empowerment mining companies.
He joined Pallinghurst in 2006 as Chief Executive and is a partner of both Pallinghurst Advisors LLP and the Investment Manager. He is responsible for Pallinghurst’s PGM interests and is a director and Deputy Executive Chairman of Sedibelo Platinum Mines Ltd (SPM) and a director on a number of internal SPM companies. He is a Danish citizen.

Mr Clarke is chartered accountant who joined the Sedibelo group in November 2014 as the CFO. He worked for the Imperial/Eqstra group for 18 years and has experience in general management, finance, audit and risk management.
In 2010 he was appointed CEO of the Contract Mining and Plant Rental division of Eqstra Holdings Limited. Prior to that, he was the CFO of the Eqstra group and instrumental in unbundling the group from Imperial Holdings Limited and listing Eqstra on the JSE.
Lael BethlehemBA (Hons), MA (Industrial Sociology) (Wits), Certificate in Economics and Public Finance (Unisa)
Ms Bethlehem is an Investment Executive at Hosken Consolidated Investment where she specialises in inner city housing development and renewable energy investments. She has been a board member of the Industrial Development Corporation since 2007 and has also chaired the IDC's Board Investment Committee and Board Risk Committee.
She previously served as Head of Real Estate Investment (South Africa) at Standard Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking division. She is the former CEO of the Johannesburg Development Agency, and prior to this was the Director of Economic Development for the City of Johannesburg.
Ms Bethlehem was Chief Director of Forestry at the National Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, which she joined after a period as an economic researcher in the trade union movement.
She has published several books and numerous papers and media articles.

Mr Liddell has been a director of Sedibelo Platinum Mines Limited since 29 March 2006. He has extensive experience in developing resource projects, having worked at Mintek in South Africa as group leader - precious metals from 1981 to 1988, with a focus on PGMs and refractory gold.
He received two silver medals for his contribution to the development of platinum concentrators. Mr Liddell is the former managing director of Aquarius Platinum Limited. He has authored a number of technical papers and holds a number of patents relating to platinum processing and ultra-fine milling.

Mr Motlhabane has been a director of Sedibelo Platinum Mines limited since 2014. He is an experienced investment banking and corporate finance professional with over 15 years’ experience, having started his investment banking careers at Merrill Lynch on the global investment analyst program. He then joined Royal Bafokeng Holdings as an Investment Manager in the Strategic Investment team, where he was responsible for M&A execution, investment evaluations and post-investment management, where he represented the company on various investee company boards and audit committees.
He previously served as the Chief Executive for the Investment arm of the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Tribe, executing cross border M&A and Debt Capital Market transactions primarily in Natural Resources. Mr Motlhabane is a Chartered Development Finance Analyst and serves on numerous private and public boards.
Kgosi Nyalala M.J. Pilane (Kgosi)
Kgosi M J Pilane is the leader of the Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela (BBK) tribe in South Africa. A former business man, he has successfully used his business acumen and experience to identify opportunities that benefit and resource the comprehensive development of the 350,000-strong BBK community.
Since his appointment as Kgosi of the BBK in April 1996, Kgosi Pilane has initiated negotiations on a number of key mining ventures. These include the Sedibelo Platinum Mines Limited partnership, as well as negotiations with Anglo American Limited/plc to acquire a 15% shareholding for the BBK in Union Section, a subsidiary of Anglo Platinum Limited. He also negotiated a platinum mine for the BBK by acquiring a mining licence under a holding company called Itereleng Bakgatla Mineral Resources.
BBK also holds a 26% share in a consortium with Sibanye Gold through transaction agreements, and 74% in Rustenburg Platinum Mines Limited from September 2015. Kgosi Pilane was appointed to the Sedibelo Platinum Mines Limited board in March 2011.

Mr Raphael Vermeir is an independent extractive industry consultant. His area of expertise is in operational excellence, the elimination of fatalities and safety maturity. He is the Chairman of the IP week 2021 and senior advisor to AngloAmerican (audited 30+ mining sites), Energy Intelligence, AML and Strategia Worldwide. He is board member of ENI SpA.
Until November 2015 he was VP Government Affairs International for ConocoPhillips. Mr Vermeir joined the company in 1979, working in marine transportation and production engineering services in Houston, Texas. He then handled upstream acquisitions in Europe and Africa and managed Conoco's exploration activities in continental Europe from Paris.
Mr Vermeir moved to London to lead the business development activities of refining and marketing in Europe and then transferred to Istanbul as managing director of Turcas. Back in London in 1999 he drove strategic initiatives in Russia and the Caspian and completed major A&D deals in the North Sea. After heading an integration team during the merger of ConocoPhillips, he took on positions in government and public affairs becoming head of external affairs Europe in late 2007. He was appointed as president, Nigeria in 2011 and to his VP role in Sept 2014.

Mr Willis became a director at Sedibelo Platinum Mines Limited in February 2019. He has over 15 years’ experience in international finance, structuring and private equity. He started his professional career as an accountant in New Zealand and after moving to Europe spent three years with pan-European private equity investment manager Candover Investments. He studied at INSEAD and was awarded an MBA before joining the Pallinghurst Group in 2006 and is a Managing Partner.
